Tarantic track finished, David Coleman remix begun...
This music making partnership with Ivan-I is a lot of fun, and very rewarding. We work on a weekly basis on new tracks, and offers continue to come in! It's great.
We finished our latest track a few weeks back, set to be released on 12" through Tarantic Records in a month or two. I hope to have whites soon.
The track we finished BEFORE the Tarantic release is set to release within the month.
AND we were offered a chance to remix a David Coleman track which we are working on right now. So far, pretty different. More chunky, a little bit housier I'd say, but we are slowing it down and adding some nice dubbed vocal delays to bring it back into the dub realm. We are moving quickly on it, which was kind of a requirement for the project. It seems everything is finished for the record, except this last track... So we promised to churn it out in less than 1.5 months, and we are on track.
In fact, our process has improved tremendously. We are just much quicker at realizing ideas, we know what areas to focus on when we do meet. Very cool situation.
My only dissapointment is that, with CNET, I have NO time to work on solo music. I'm just happy that I have this outlet. And I guess that's why it's working for me. I realize that setting appointments helps me DO things. If I have someone else's time counting on me, then I know I'll be motivated to carve out the time needed to pull it off.
Anyways, Madcap Labs is still on hold. Hopefully sometime this summer, it will start up again. But it has been nice to take a breather and not feel like EVERY second of my life is scheduled for something. (But that can be nice too!!!)
All for now.
