Finished remix, BAVC
Wow I am really bad at this whole update... thing.
Anyways, finished the remix with Ivan-I to be released on Tarantic. VERY VERY happy with the outcome. It's tight, consistant, clean, and deep. Definately one of the most polished productions I've ever been involved with. A good amount of keys from the ol' Oberheim Matrix. Man that box is such a good bang for the buck. So many good staple house sounds in there.
We are doing a Sen Sei remix on Jah Love next, followed by an original collaboration tune. That should be interesting. We've now finished three remixes together and by the original track, it will be four. We've certainly evolved in my opinion. It's great collaborating with someone on these tunes. Really takes some of the labor out of it all. When YOU run out of fresh ideas, well what do you know! There's another person with ideas too! We work well together, and hopefully it shows in the music.
I'm eating eggs and drinking OJ in preparation for a weekend course in Advanced Avid editing techniques out at the Bay Area Video Coalition. I am getting free courses, sponsored by CNET, which is really cool. I just hope that the instruction is solid. I have a few questions going into it. We'll certainly see. If I wasn't sponsored it would run me some serious cash, so it's a cool situation altogether.
I finished a track for Night Drive. I only WISH I was writing music full time, cause I could have more time to spend on just banging out music. It's like I have this avenue to release my music through and I just can't write original music fast enough to utilize it! I'd LOVE to get another EP out there but I just haven't had any spare time to write these days. Too busy working... I'll keep at it though. It's a goal of mine to release an EP this year. So keep your eyes out for that.
Oh and we are going to Thailand in the summer. Can't FREAKIN wait!
