Drum n Bass for a change

So for a change this month, I wrote an ambient piece as well as a Drum n Bass piece for Life Love and Health.  Definately a change for me, it's the first DnB song I've written.  And it was pretty nice!  A good change of pace.

Very happy with the progress on the new track Ivan-I and I are writing for Tarantic.  It's got some serious energy to it.  Now it's time to dub it up a bit.  We'll be exporting bits of it and loading them up in Logic to take advantage of the Tape Delay plug-in that is really hard to replace.  I must admit, in my switch back to Pro Tools, it's one of the key points of Logic that I miss.  Any ideas of an RTAS replacement for it?

Started a new tune for Night Drive.  The push is on.  I really want to push out some new tunes.

New dub goodness, and my tracks on a CD!

Hey all. So I made the mistake of getting into the Myspace thang. Yeah it's a wonderful time waster, but it means that I now have two different places to blog to. Which means, dammit, I've left this far too long!

So onto news. Working again with Ivan-I on a new remix to be released on Tarantic Records. So far so freakin good. It's a remix of an electro-house diddy and I gotta say. Our switch to Pro Tools has really shown us a new energy on this one. In one session, we have built a really nice solid foundation on which to arrange with this Friday evening. A lot more house energy. Maybe go a bit less deep than our last outing.

I just got a box of CDs in the mail from my friends at Night Drive Music. "Dj Leno - The Deep House Session" has licensed Sore Eyes from the Velosophy EP and it sounds great! It's a fantastic mix CD to be a part of and I'm stoked to see my name in print. Oh it doesn't take much to please me.

Oh and as for the hard drive issues. I replaced my failing drive, and have now reinstalled the OS about 7 times... but this last time I tried a few things and really watched what I installed on my computer, and all seems ok for now. I'll letcha know if it starts to crumble again.

And boy, do I want some spare time so I can write some original tunes for Night Drive again. They have been nothing but stellar to me and I really enjoy working for them. We shall see what happens.
