Pro Tools 7.0 M-Powered released today

Color me happy. Been looking forward to this update... Though I do know from past experience NOT to upgrade when it is a .0 version, which this is.

This version catches Pro Tools up on the Sequencing and MIDI front, from what I understand. Some criticize saying they shouldn't be playing catch up, it should already be up to standard with other sequencers, and their updates should innovate more. I for one am very happy.

Why? I seem to write much quicker using Pro Tools than I do using Logic. I've been using both for pretty much an equal amount of time. Pro Tools more for the radio work I do for Madcap, and Logic more for my own personal music production. But in cranking out tunes for Madcap, it seems my processes within Pro Tools have gotten so efficient and speedy that I just plain enjoy working in PT better now. It just seems like things that take 3 steps in Logic take 1 step in PT.

To each their own right? That's what it all boils down to these days. 5 million flavors of the same dessert.

Anyways, I'll jump the gun and upgrade, though I might be taking a risk. But I'll certainly let ya'll know how I feel about it. Been looking forward to this for a while now.
